Work Packages

Work Package 2.

Business modelling, creating strategies for products based on the solutions developed in the project. Exploitation: Business plan development and sustainability.

During the project, a set of solutions will be developed and tested in

specific use cases. The exploitation activities make a continuous

process during the project aimed at creating a path toward real

products that satisfies the user organizations of the project. This is a

process of organizing a complex of technologies into a simple to

understand offer to identified customers. Successful exploitation of results will be assured with an ongoing business canvas model process supporting and guiding the technical development. These processes will be done for each of the use-cases. A customer driven canvas will be developed, which will guide the development of a value proposition. A number of “Value workshops” will be organized where productification of the technologies can take place. During the workshops the stakeholders will design and package services by creating necessary contracts, specifications, and other documents. Productification includes creation of services, turning sets of solutions into a good-quality entity that is easy to understand, sell, buy, and multiply or replicate. The service must have clear value for an identified customers that distinguish it from competitors in a positive way. This means connecting a number of business partners into one contract that the customer can consider and sign on to.

Work Package 3.

Innovative design of new services for living longer at home.

Methodologies set the frame for developing the service platform and

framework from which all other development needs are derived, on a

technical, data processing, and application level. Work within this work package is enlighten by the definition of use-case scenarios.

Actors in the use cases are diverse, i.e. users of the system include citizens; employee; care personnel; physiotherapists; medical staff; human resource managers; hobby, sports & life coaches. All use cases contributing to the viability improvement illustrated in (Fig. below), by letting different groups of stakeholders with the action of preventing as well as recovering from viability flaws.

Work Package 4.

The main objective of this work package is to design, implement and document the FRONT-VL Service Delivery Framework and key components and SW services for implementing advanced innovative services. The FRONT-VL Service Delivery Framework considers an integrated stack of technology components, including sensing services, data analysis services, middleware services and access services. An essential outcome of this work package will be an initial collection of such components. The framework exposes a programming model with a set of operational guidelines by specifying a set of APIs (used to build applications on top of the platform) and a set of SPIs (used to extend the platform with new services and components at all levels).

Work Package 5.

The purpose of this work package is to collect, direct and follow-up the tasks needed to realize the FRONT-VL use cases and further on new services. The work follows the iterative and incremental development, with validation and assessment of the generic service delivery framework, integrating all the use cases, as well as those activates focusing on user-training and service innovation.
